Combining training, exercise and fun, dog agility is a fast growing sport in New Zealand and around the world. In dog agility, the human handler directs their dog through an obstacle course using voice commands, hand signals and body language. The dog runs off leash and the handler may not touch the dog during the run. The dog needs to negotiate jumps, tunnels, A-frames, elevated walks, see-saws and weave poles, with attention to speed and accuracy.
Because of their manoeuvrability, intelligence and willingness to work, the Lagotto is well suited for the sport of dog agility.
